Hudson River Directional Bore

EXPAND YOUR TELECOMMUNICATIONS/DATA TRANSMISSIONS ACROSS THE HUDSON RIVER! ADD DIVERSITY OR REDUNDANCY THROUGH OUR NEW, MODERN CONDUIT INFRASTRUCTURE LINKING NEW JERSEY AND NEW YORK!

Most major data centers in NYC are connected to data centers located across the river in New Jersey. These connections are critical in the distribution/transmission of data and/or telecommunications throughout the country. A disruption of the service in any of the crossings could lead to a situation in which customers, revenues, and major contracts could be lost. Through a less exposed, redundant, and diverse crossing, Hudson River Crossing, L.L.C. (HRC) offers an alternative connectivity option, which should be very attractive to members of the telecommunications industry.

Prior to 9/11, HRC was already pursuing its project because it believed that carriers would welcome an alternative for their telecommunications/data transmission systems crossing the Hudson River. 9/11 only served to emphasize the need.

A large portion of the industry today is utilizing the Holland/Lincoln/Path Tunnel crossing for primary as well as back-up systems. 9/11 highlighted the vulnerability of these crossings, and our newly completed Directional Bore, a state of the art, telecom/data conduit system, offers a superior and less exposed Hudson River crossing alternative.

Quite apart from security risks, diversity and redundancy have long been requirements of the industry. Alternate routings, such as ours, are vastly preferable to the alternative of running primary and back-up cable through the same tunnels.
