Parsippany - Sterling Hill

Sterling Hill is an exclusive community of 12 elegant estate homes in this Morris County township.

PARSIPPANY: Rated among the top 20 New Jersey suburbs by New Jersey Monthly Magazine, Parsippany-Troy Hills comprises 30 miles of sparkling residential communities, growing businesses, and lush park lands. One of only 17 towns in the country to be awarded the "Tree City USA" designation for 25 years in a row, the town prides itself on being a model place to live for its 52,000 residents.

Parsippany’s outstanding quality of life stems from its fine social and public services. Its police department is one of only three in New Jersey to receive national accreditation. Hundreds of volunteers help clean and protect the environment, provide emergency services, run numerous recreational activities and even operate a free bus service for those without transportation.

The town places great value on public education. The Parsippany-Troy Hills District has been rated among the top 10 percent in the nation for its small classes, low student! teacher ratio and availability of extracurricular activities. Students attend nine elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools. An adult education center provides job assistance, child care and free instruction to qualified students.

Parsippany is also home to 19 award-winning parks -- among them, the Knoll Park and Country Club, the largest in town. This 338-acre facility houses two 18-hole golf courses and approximately 70 acres of recreational activities ... including two picnic areas, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, bocci courts, and walking trails. The park also contains the first play area in a New Jersey public park designated for physically challenged children.

In addition, Lake Parsippany is a 168-acre lagoon with surrounding pristine beaches and secluded hideaways for outdoor picnics or just plain relaxation. It offers swimming, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, and even fishing on a seasonal basis.

Parsippany’s close proximity to an extensive transportation network permits easy travel to a variety of business, social, recreational and entertainment venues. New York City and Northern New Jersey are just a short commute away on Route 80, while Westchester County, Newark International Airport and Central New Jersey are accessible via 1-287 and 1-280. Local business and shopping can be reached on US 46, 202, as well as State Highways 10 and 53.

Parsippany has welcomed major corporations to its corporate centers. More than 27 Fortune 500 companies are headquartered in town. Merrill Lynch, Adventis Pharmaceuticals and American Insurance Group (AIG) are among Parsippany’s solid business citizens.
