Florham on the Fairways is frankly not intended for the average home buyer, says Jack DeCaro of Cali Associates in launching the sales campaign for this new luxury townhome community in Florham Park, N.J. The 66-home community, rising on 40 acres overlooking the prestigious Braidburn Country Club, is being contructed by the Cali firm. Offering three basic styles, a colonial manor estate, a ranch-style home and a dual tiered residence, priced from $289,900 to $359,900 each, the new development is attracting those who Mr. DeCaro describes as "financially mature, sophisticated homebuyers." Because of this, Cali Associates expects many of the purchasers will be former residents from nearby exclusive towns, such as Essex Fells, Glen Ridge, Short Hills and Upper Montclair.
From its masonry gateway to the meticulous detailing of its landscape, Florham on the Fairways reflects the ambiance of a secluded private enclave. The community has been architecturally designed to maximize the privacy of each resident while still preserving a strong sense of community. Thus, the arrangement of the homes around individual, open-air cobblestone courtyards permits privacy, yet creates a definite feeling of neighborliness.
Designed by architect Jerome Morely Larson of Red Bank, each of the homes features three bedrooms, 3½ baths, fireplaces, 2-car garages, finished basements with recreational and powder rooms, cathedral ceilings, spiral staircases, wet bars, parquet flooring in the living room and oak flooring in the balance. Each resident of the development will be eligible for membership in the Braidburn Country Club.
