Bayonne
The Calis have been focused on the multifamily market and believe Bayonne offers the next great opportunity in Hudson County. In February 2016, the Calis completed Park Bayonne, a 60-unit luxury apartment building. Following Park Bayonne's success, the Calis and their partners completed Bay One, a 91-unit building located on Broadway. The Calis also have site plan approvals for the tallest building in Bayonne's history at 26 North Street. The site is zoned for two 22-story towers which will offer gorgeous views of lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Hudson County.
Sussex County
In 2011 the Calis and their partner purchased property for retail development on Route 23 in Sussex County. After receiving final site plan approvals they successfully completed the project by selling half to Autozone, and leasing the second half to STS.
Hudson River Crossing
Data connections between New York City and New Jersey are a critical path for telecommunications in the Northeast and throughout the country. A disruption of the service in any of the crossings could lead to a situation in which customers, revenues, and major contracts could be lost. Through a more secure Directional Bore, Hudson River Crossing, LLC (HRC) offers a state of the art telecom/data conduit crossing alternative to the Holland/Lincoln/Path Tunnels.
Quite apart from security risks, diversity and redundancy have long been requirements of the telecom/data industry. Alternate routings, such as ours, are vastly preferable to the alternative of running primary and back-up cable through the same tunnels.
Clifton Project (Extended Stay)
The Clifton is a 258 suite corporate suites project located in Clifton, NJ, just off the Passaic Avenue Route 3 exit. The Calis developed this with their strategic partners Togar. This 4.8 acre site was a former car dealership with minor environmental issues, which were remediated prior to the development and sale of the property.
The project serves business executives and other professionals on long-term assignments for stays of 30 days or more. The development incorporates a state-of-the-art business center, conference rooms, multi-media theater, health spa offering massage therapy, full gym and aerobics / pilates studio.
Bridgewater Active Adult Community
The Calis designed and received full approvals for 170 age-restricted units. The community includes 4 buildings, 234 parking spots, and a 4000 SF common recreation area.
Sterling Pointe
Sterling Pointe was developed by the Calis in a joint venture with Sterling Properties Company. This is an active adult community with single-family, townhomes, and condo flats. The development is located in a private neighborhood in northern NJ and has been sold to K Hovnanian.
